Our coffee originates from the most productive and awarded region of Colombia; the department of Huila.
In this natural paradise, the majestic Andes Mountain Range, after crossing South America, divides into three ranges, converting this high mountain volcanic region into one of the most generous, biodiverse and exclusive "terroirs" for the cultivation of specialty coffee in the world, a situation very well taken advantage by its inhabitants, a people of agricultural vocation and tradition, for whom coffee has supported their economy and offered social wealth and cultural patrimony.

In "Café El Recuerdo", we respect the coffee tradition and we put ourselves at the forefront of the coffee industry, developing coffees of excellent quality, with well differentiated profiles that fulfill the needs -and desires- of the buyers and consumers of the world.

The brand "Café El Recuerdo" is the consolidation of the effort and the generational family union of the "Figueroa Cuellar Family" around the cultivation of coffee. For our family, the humble coffee bean became the engine that for generations allowed our daily sustenance, as well as a better future.

The history of "Café El Recuerdo" begins 50 years ago, in the mountains of the municipality of Guadalupe, in the south of the department of Huila, with the great grandfather Jacob Figueroa, arriving at "La Míguela", the first family coffee farm, the same that would later be renamed by "Don Rodrigo", his son, as "Finca El Recuerdo", from where the current company takes its name.

The third generation of the coffee family, the children of Don Rodrigo and Doña Amparo; Johana, Judith, Maribel, Jemmay and Daniel, were born and grew up surrounded by family love and mountains of coffee in that same farm. Today, they are all professionals and have returned to their mountains with more strength and vision to expand the family business and bring their beloved fruit to the world. The fourth generation of the family is now growing up with the same family love... and yes, they also have coffee flows through their veins.
